Including - Speed up introduction of Area Plans :Planning, to meet the needs of Government's economic strategy: Speed up the planning process: Encorage the redevelopment of Douglas Town Centre
Supporting a sustainable construction industry in the Isle of Man
Including - Lobby for the implementation of the recommendations of the "Dunlop Report" - the Strategic Review of Construction - in particular the controlled release of the Government Capital Programme: Lobby for start on Government Capital Schemes to compensate for the current downturn in construction
Development of a Mineral Strategy for the IoM
Particularly - encourage Government to produce a Mineral Strategy for IoM in consultation with the relevant mineral operators
Skills, training and employment opportunities
Including - support the Construction Sector Skills Group: Promote the construction sector as a major economic sector offering good employment and training opportunities
