    Chamber of Commerce signs up to UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man pledge

    Chamber has signed up to the UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man pledge. Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK officially presented the pledge certificate to at a ceremony held at Chamber’s offices in Athol Street, Douglas, on April 25th.

  • Finance and professional services the focus of Chamber of Commerce sector forum

    Finance and professional services were the subjects for discussion at this month’s Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce ‘sector forum’. The sector forum series – which is sponsored by Manx Telecom – is organised through a partnership between the Isle of Man and Wirral Chambers of Commerce and aims to allow businesses to share ideas and benefit from networking opportunities. The forums began in February this year and focus on a different sector of the Island’s economy each month, building links between business sectors here and in the north west of England.

    Chamber of Commerce supports government delegation to London Commonwealth Business Forum

    The UK Government hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in London last week (April 16th to 18th). As part of the agenda there were a number of parallel events hosted for the Commonwealth attendees – the Commonwealth Business Forum, Commonwealth People’s Forum, Commonwealth Women’s Forum, and Commonwealth Youth Forum.
