Kristan has gained a wealth of experience through leading at the very top levels of digital technology businesses on the Island whilst also investing in the vision for a bright future for the Isle of Man through his roles in Chamber and a founding Non-Executive Board Member of the Isle of Man Department for Enterprise.

Claire joined Grant Thornton in July 2019 to establish an insolvency and restructuring offering through the Isle of Man office as part of the Grant Thornton Offshore Network. Claire is keen to bring to Chamber her passion for the development of future leaders on the Isle of Man and her wide range of knowledge and expertise.

Carol is a ginger, punk inspired, Disruptive Thinker ,Leader , Speaker , Coach, Mentor, Podcaster and Edutainer from the Isle of Man, who unlocks World-class performance by connecting leaders to their innate potential and authenticity. Today via her Maverick Maker business, she Coaches and Mentors Founders, Leaders, Boards, Teams and Businesses to think differently, increase personal and business productivity and create opportunity out of change, challenge and connections.

Caren Pegg is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department of Appleby Global dealing with a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including freezing injunctions, enforcement of judgments, asset tracing, insolvency, Norwich Pharmacal applications, public law issues, director/shareholder disputes and regulatory disputes. Caren has been involved with Chamber for over 15 years having previously been Chair of the Employment and Skills Committee.
Treasurer
Jenny qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, having trained locally. Jenny has over 18 years’ experience in the local finance sector. She has gained experience across a broad range of audit and accounting functions both on and off the Isle of Man, most notably funds, insurance, local government, family offices, pensions, regulated CSPs and TSPs and AIM Listed clients, as well as ad hoc advisory work and bespoke report writing for a variety of clients.
Elected Board Member
Bill is a Director of Celton Manx Limited and Celton Manx Marketing Limited. He is also a Director of the Manx Utilities Authority, having been appointed by Government in 2011. The IOM Government appointed him Chairman of their National Broadcast Operations in 2016. He also serves on the Government’s Public Service Commission. In his spare time, he chairs a charity dealing with homelessness and is also a Director of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
Elected Board Member & Company Secretary
Miles is the Managing Director of MannBenham and was admitted to the Manx Bar on the 25th September 1996 and is an English Solicitor (non-practising), Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths. He is also on the board of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the British Blockchain Association and was one of the founders and the legal adviser to the Manx Digital Currency Association. Miles is personally recommended by the Legal 500.

Having Chaired the Digital Committee for 16 years, Deb Byron has now joined the Chamber Board. Deb, is Director of IT for Hansard Global plc, an international business which has been providing innovative financial products and services for international clients since 1987.

Stuart is committed to establishing excellent, honest and mutually rewarding partnerships in his teams and with clients, and his service sector background ensures that this is a natural element of his businesses' cultures. Having set up and run several successful businesses, he was well placed to develop his more recent activities in business mentoring and executive coaching. Stuart is a member of the Government’s Health & Life Sciences Advisory Board, and sits on the patient care committee at Hospice.

Barry graduated Salford University with a degree in Military and International History in 2005. He joined the Financial Services sector where he has worked for the last 18 years. Barry is a chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and is currently the Investment Supervisor for the Fund Pricing Team at Hansard Global plc where he has been for the last 8 years having worked for AXA Wealth and State Street in Scotland before then. He has been a member of the Think Tank for 3 years which he chaired for 1 year.
STEM Sector Lead
Nick is Group Engineering Director for Strix Ltd having joined them in 1992 and directs the Global Water Filtration Engineering team, which includes the product development centre at LAICA in Vicenza, Italy and at Guangzhou, China. Nick is also responsible for the manufacturing facility at Ramsey in Isle of Man, having worked in both Operations and Engineering leadership positions during his time at Strix. Nick holds a BEng (Hons) Manufacturing Systems and Management from Brunel University and an MSc from Manchester University. Nick is also a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology.

John has worked in financial services for over 40 years spanning a wide spectrum of sectors including, Fiduciary, Private Client, life and captive Insurance/Banks and Funds. During that period he has worked in London, Cambridge, Bristol and Guernsey but settled in the Isle of Man some 15 years ago. Having spent 4.5 years working for the IOM Department for Enterprise promoting the Isle of Man as the place for financial services businesses he is currently both Managing Director of a Finance Business and Managing Director of a fledging Financial Technology business. John is also a trustee of the Manx Wildlife Trust.
Digital Sector Lead
Shelley currently serves as CEO of the tech company, SQR Group Limited. She has a leadership background in tech, telecoms and space industries and was the co-founder of the Isle of Man’s first, and only, Internet Exchange, ManxIX during her time as Managing Director of a local telecommunications company, BlueWave.
Charity Forum Lead
Richard is a director of ILS World and has over 30 years experience in the financial services sector. Since moving to the island in 2006 he has been involved with company CSR programmes and a number of local charities as a volunteer.

Gary is known for his successful career in the construction industry and his contributions to the growth and development of companies on the island. Gary has over 30 years of experience in the construction sector and has previously held the position of chair of the IOM Construction Forum where he is currently Treasurer.
Talent Action Group Lead
Kelley has been an active member of the Chamber employment and skills group for over 10 years and has a keen interest in supporting skills development and access to lifelong learning opportunities for all age groups on island. Kelley is the Customer Culture and Engagement Partner at Manx Telecom, bringing to the role her broad experience in coaching, mentoring, strategic development, training delivery and performance management across a wide spectrum of industries. Kelley is a long serving learning and development professional, passionate about supporting the development of organisational culture to improve customer service.
Think Tank Chair
Kathryn joined DQ Advocates in 2019 after successfully completing her Law degree at the University of Hull. She is an Advisor within the Regulatory & Compliance Team, covering a wide range of areas including AML/CFT compliance and Data Protection. She has been a member of Think Tank for several years, including one year as Vice-Chair.
Legislation Group Lead
Helen is the Head of the Administrative and Public Law Unit at Humphrey & Helfrich Advocates and deals with a wide range of legal matters involving public bodies and legislation. She qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and before returning to private practice, spent 17 years at the Attorney General’s Chambers, as the senior commercial lawyer and then as Director of Legislative Drafting. Helen is keen to bring her experience with legislative procedure and her passion for unambiguous legislation and an inclusive process, to the group.
Business Sustainability Lead
Ralph Peake is Chair of the Isle of Man Business Sustainability Group, within the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce. A founding member of the Energy & Sustainability Centre Isle of Man which was established to help the Isle of Man become a leader amongst small nations along the path to a low-carbon, sustainable future. Former Member of the House of Keys from 2015-2021, he has been closely involved in Government action on climate change. This led to a historic bill committing the Isle of Man to net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Prior to that he ran his own business for 25 years, specialising in energy efficient lighting and controls systems. He is also a Member of the Charted Management Institute.
Positive Health & Wellbeing Forum Lead
Juan Moore spent in excess of twenty years working in the Trust and Corporate Services Sectors before taking over as CEO of the Law Society where he worked six years. Juan is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) and President of the Island’s CGI branch. Juan established a Wellbeing Committee for the Island Branch last year which delivers regular newsletters and CPD events to its members. Juan wishes to use his experience and expertise to assist the Chamber in establishing a Positive Health and Wellbeing Forum. The Directors are excited about this new forum which they fully support.
