Commerce hosts successful presentation and discussion with members of Tynwald | Feb 2023

On Tuesday 14th February 2023 we hosted a presentation and discussion at the Barrool Suite, which was attended by members of Parliament and Tynwald.

Date: Wednesday 15 February 2023

The session was aimed at bridging the gap between government and small businesses and addressing the current landscape for business in the Isle of Man.

Chamber President, Kristan McDonald, opened the event by sharing recent data and member research, which highlighted both the barriers and opportunities facing local businesses.

Following the presentation, attendees participated in an interactive session covering the Chamber's top three topics: addressing human talent shortages and opportunities, bridging the gap between government and small businesses, and collaborating via technology to drive productivity and growth.

The interactive sessions created some positive discussions

Our Sector and Working Group Leads were on hand to support the event, providing valuable insights and perspectives on the key topics discussed. The session provided attendees with the opportunity to engage with the Chamber's sector and working group leads, ask questions, and find out more about how the Chamber believe Government can support local businesses.

Speaking after the event, Kristan McDonald said, "We were delighted to welcome members of Parliament and Tynwald to our presentation and discussion. The event provided a valuable platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our local businesses and explore ways in which we can work together more effectively. We would like to extend our thanks to all those who attended and contributed to the event."
