Since being formed in March 2020, just after the start of lockdown, the Manx Solidarity Fund has been supporting residents and local organisations facing financial difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although most sections of the economy have steadied since lockdown ended, applications for support are still being approved with the majority coming from individuals seeking assistance. However with ongoing uncertainty over the progress of both the economy and the pandemic, the Manx Solidarity Fund Board are acutely aware that some local businesses and Chamber members will face an uncertain winter particularly as Government support has ended for most sectors.

Should a Chamber member currently be experiencing serious pressures on their finances or on their ability to retain staff as a result of the pandemic, the Manx Solidarity Fund may offer a source of help. As with any grant support, there is an application to be completed and associated due diligence undertaken on every application. If all application documentation and information is completed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner, decisions can be made within a week or two of the application being submitted.
