This month we chat to PhDr. Mira Reiss who helps her clients to improve their life, to find their direction, happiness and harmony. She uses exclusive coaching methods utilising ancient Eastern Wisdom with innovative approaches.

Tell us about your career to date and did you envision this is where you would be?
My first job was at the Academy of Science in Bratislava - I was a researcher in the field of soft skills. Because I love teaching, after some years I changed my job and became a lecturer at University for the same subject. Actually, I didn’t take it as a job, it was my true calling. I really loved it, especially breaks between the lectures as that was a time when I was often approached by the students who felt safe to confide in me with their deepest secrets. My friends too would come to me looking for advice, frequently telling me that my ability to listen and the encouraging words I offered helped them to navigate their troubling situations in life better. I was as well an owner of the first babysitting agency in Slovakia, helping busy mothers to care about their kids. But, honestly at this time in my life I was in the shoes of overwhelmed, stressed business women studying and practicing energy management, which helped me to bring balance and harmony not only into my working and personal time but as well into the life of my friends. Then it was a period in my life, for which I’m truly grateful. I had an opportunity to travel around the world, to learn and practice profound Ancient East Wisdom (Tibetan Buddhism, especially Dzogchen, Chinese Metaphysics) which I have combined with my scientific background in the field of Sociology and self-study in different fields. I have spent a lot of time contemplating different places in Europe, North America, Australia, Sri Lanka, and deep in the mountains of Nepal, which brought a lot of clarity, freedom, happiness, and gratitude to my life. And after many years of practicing and developing myself, and supporting others privately, I have decided that I want to share my knowledge and expertise to reach more people and support them. So my true calling my biggest passion became a business. I am a consultant and well-being coach.

Given your role and experience, what kind of advice and expertise could you offer a mentee who has signed up to the Chamber Advisory platform?
I help my clients to go from being overwhelmed, stressed, self-doubted, sleepless to be relaxed, confident, free and happy.
So my key areas of expertise are:
• Energy management
• Stress relief
• Mindfulness
• Self-confidence
• Self-knowledge
• Clarity

What motivates you?
Satisfied clients leaving our sessions happy, relaxed, confident, and having deep clarity about their life.

What is your biggest success and how did you achieve it?
Applying my unique approach in my daily life and encouraging my clients to do the same, using their unique gifts for making our world a better place.

Tell us about your biggest failure and what you learned from that experience?
I used to be oversensitive and often took my clients issue in myself, I call failure our lessons, and
this is a part of the approach which I am offering to my clients. Yes, we are here to learn some experiences, how you said. And this is actually my lesson that I had learned - no failure, just a lesson to be learned to develop ourselves.

What are your strengths?
I am a good listener, without judgment, people trust me, I am grateful for my gift, encourage and uplift others, because I believe in their talents, I am a whole life student and practitioner of what I’ve learned (I’m not 30 anymore) and I am offering all my skills to my clients, knowing that we can help others only to the point which we had reached, not what we have at our intellectual level.

What are your weaknesses?
I am learning to say no. I am in a good direction. I am learning to be visible, to serve more people.

How do you balance your work and home life?
Using techniques that I am offering to my clients because energy management is an important tool in my box. So I am spending a lot of time in nature, doing different relaxation techniques, being self-aware, being in the flow.

What are you trying to accomplish this year?
Support as many clients as possible, clients who are ready to step out from their comfort zone and live the life they meant to live. My biggest goal is to build a retreat centre where clients can come and learn how to be mindful, balanced, free, and happy.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would that be?
Just relax, work with your energy.

Did you ever have a mentor and do you have any mentors in your life right now?
Yes, I did, and I do suggest everybody work with one, who is the right one to help them to fulfil their dream, to find freedom, happiness, and abundance.
