Menopause Ambassador helps employers follow wellbeing best practice | GanlyTipper sponsor presentation hosted by Chamber of Commerce | June 2022

A leading Menopause Ambassador gave a presentation to employers from a range of business sectors to help them follow wellbeing best practice.

Date: Thursday 30 June 2022

The presentation, by Jersey-based Trudi Roscouet from Vitality 40 Plus, was on the theme of menopause in the workplace. It was sponsored by learning and development company GanlyTipper Learning Ltd, and hosted by Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce at its Eagle Lab HQ in Douglas.

GanlyTipper Director, Justin Tipper, thanked Trudi, Chamber and all the employers who attended. Speaking after the event, he said: “We invited Trudi to the Isle of Man in order to raise awareness of menopause in the workplace, and the issues that surround it. Wellbeing at work has never been as important as it is now, in these extraordinary times, and we must make the workplace as inclusive and supportive as possible. We can no longer accept that menopause is one of those topics that simply does not get discussed, because we are ignorant of it, or afraid of the consequences. Trudi’s presentation today has helped employers to ensure that they are following health and wellbeing best practice.”

Trudi Roscouet said: “What an amazing group of ladies and a warm welcome to the Isle of Man! It was great to open up the conversation of menopause awareness and discuss the issues that surround us in the workplace.”

One of the audience members was Linda Wheeler, HR Business Partner at Isle of Man Government. She said: “I was really impressed with Trudi’s talk, and I think she hit the right note with the audience. Trudi managed to encourage the conversation about menopause in the workplace – and I think we could all safely say that we learned something new.” Overall, Linda added, the event encouraged managers and organisations to think more about what they have in place, and the simple things they could do to make life easier.

Chamber CEO, Rebecca George, expressed the organisation’s gratitude to Trudi, the event sponsor, and members who attended. Details about future Chamber events can be found at
