2nd Business & Charity Partnership event | Friday 14th October, 9-11 | Palace Hotel

Last year we hosted our first ever Business & Charity partnership event. The event brought together a diverse range of Chamber charity members and members from the business community. It was a fantastic opportunity for the charities to showcase who they are and for business to explore CSR opportunities for collaboration and possible future partnerships.

We are delighted to be hosting this event for the 2nd year running and once again the event aims to bring together Chamber member businesses with our charity members to showcase the fantastic opportunities and ways our local business community can support these charities.

We are delighted to announce that His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor will be our guest speaker. His Excellency will speak of the importance of the business community working together with our charities. We will also be joined by Guy Templer, former COO at Pokerstars who will speak about his experiences of the many charitable causes he has committed to over the years.

After the presentations attendees will be given the opportunity to speak with and subsequently visit Chamber charity members who will be able to offer an insight into their aims and the work they undertake, including how your business may be able to partner and support. Businesses will also learn more about the benefits and development opportunities of working with charitable organisations.

This event is in place to educate and facilitate cross-collaboration between the charitable sector and the wider business community.   In essence we aim to demonstrate that supporting a local Charity can be so much more than simply offering financial support, it can also include offering resource, mentoring, volunteering hours etc.
