IoM Business Sustainability event | Net Zero; What does it mean for us?

Following on from our most recent Business Sustainability event on the 9th May, we believe now is a good opportunity raise people’s understanding of what is involved with Net Zero, how this effects us and what are the implications for us here in the Isle of Man.

We would like to connect with people’s emotions and answer the questions people are maybe too scared to ask. Net Zero; What does it mean for us?

This event will be split into two parts;

Part one will take the shape of a workshop to explore our connection to the place we live and it makes us feel?

Part two will include an expert panel to explain what the implications mean to us and the opportunities available.

Lead by BSG Chair, Ralph Peake, the panel will include:

Dr Christa McCartney, University Lecturer and Further Education teacher at UCM in business ethics and social responsibly. Module leader for Academic Business Research.

Jon Curtis, founder of Curtis & Associates, an energy management company, managing data for the entire spectrum of the Energy Industry, as fossil fuel use declines an a managed way and are replaced by renewables.

Chris Gledhill, Chamber of Commerce, Climate Change Programme Lead.
