About this event
Hosted by the One World Centre and delivered by the Isle of Man Government’s AML/CFT Policy Team and the Financial Services Authority, this open and informal training session is being offered to all charities and non-profit organisations registered and based in the Isle of Man.
Using real-life stories as examples, it will cover what these terms mean and why it is important to be aware of the risks; what you should look out for; how to deal with problems when they occur; and it will bring you up to date with best practice in dealing with money transactions, donations and funding opportunities. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the team on the night.
A lack of awareness of money laundering, terrorist financing and bribery and corruption can not only create financial implications for your charity or non-profit, it can also cause reputational damage to the great work you are doing so this is an important aspect of good governance.
This event is open to all charities and non-profits and it is free to attend. If there is anything in particular you would like the session to cover, please get in touch.
This training is being made possible through funding from the Isle of Man Government's International Development Education Awareness and Strategy grant.
