3FM and Department for Enterprise launch ‘Business News’ Partnership | June 2021

The one-year partnership will see journalists and videographers promoting local businesses as well as how businesses can use the Support Schemes offered by the Department for Enterprise.

As a media partner of the Department for Enterprise, 3FM will use a variety of channels to distribute content – including social media, online and its on-air radio station.

The partnership will run until May 2022 and will focus on the promotion of positive business news stories from the Isle of Man, showcasing the Island’s potential for companies and entrepreneurs.

Charlie Smith, 3FM’s Station Operations Manager for Multimedia and Events, said the company – based on Cooil Road in Braddan – was delighted be working with the Department:

“As a business which is firmly embedded in the Isle of Man community, 3FM looks forward to working closely with other local businesses who will benefit from more publicity and exposure.

“Being selected to promote the Island’s vibrant business community is a gratifying achievement which demonstrates the confidence the Department for Enterprise has in our ability and audience.”

Minister for Enterprise, Laurence Skelly MHK, commented:

‘The Department for Enterprise works closely with many media organisations in the Isle of Man as part of our commitment to supporting the local business community. This partnership will allow us to continue to connect with and promote local businesses regularly, and raise awareness of how the Department for Enterprise can support Island businesses.

‘I recognise that the past 18 months have been challenging for many businesses, and this partnership will provide a platform and communication channel which can be utilised by local businesses to promote their offering to the Island community, and showcase our Island as a special place to live, work and do business.’
