BITA’s IOM Chapter chooses MMC as media partner | Nov 2022

Leading trade organisation BITA has chosen digital content and communications agency MMC as the media partner for its Isle of Man Chapter.

Date: Tuesday 08 November 2022

MMC helped to generate PR and social coverage for the 3-day Isle of Man event organised by BITA in May this year. Pictured at that event are (left to right) Brendon Kenny, Chair of BITA’s Isle of Man Chapter; Bill Dale BEM, Founder of Beach Buddies; Joney Faragher MHK, Leader of the Manx Labour Party; Paul Whitnell, BITA’s President and Founder; and Jennie Thompson; a BITA Isle of Man Chapter Board Member, and Executive Director at Ellanstone Ltd.

BITA (the British & Irish Trading Alliance) is a non-profit networking organisation that encourages its members to build relationships to generate business through educational and social events held in the UK, Ireland, and Isle of Man. The organisation has regional Chapters across the British Isles - its Isle of Man Chapter was launched in 2018.

Brendon Kenny, Chair of BITA’s Isle of Man Chapter, said: “This partnership has evolved from the social content and PR support MMC has provided for Isle of Man Chapter events this year, which have attracted business leaders from on and off-Island. Those events have included our very successful three-day event in May, and our garden party in August. Not only has the MMC team provided valuable advice and practical support, they also buy into BITA’s mission and vision. All of those qualities made MMC the stand-out agency for us, and the ideal choice to be our media partner.”

Craig Wolstencroft, Founding Managing Director of MMC, commented: “BITA is doing excellent work, both here on the Island and across Ireland and the UK, to promote co-operation and generate new business. It’s a privilege to be able to play a part in helping to spread the word about the excellent work that’s being done by the BITA Isle of Man Chapter. The future success of the Island's economy relies upon increasing the level of investment from the UK and beyond, and it’s in this crucial area where I see the great work that BITA does really adding value to the economy.”

Over the past 20 years in business MMC has built an international reputation as a digital-focused agency with specialist expertise in the finance and technology sectors. In addition to BITA, MMC represents several other leading trade organisations with a presence here on the Island, including Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce and AILO (Association of International Life Offices) which represents insurance companies and firms in supporting industries such as technology, fund management and service providers in Europe and the rest of the world. Earlier this year, MMC was chosen by the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry to create a new visual identity and a digital first social media strategy for a targeted global marketing campaign to raise awareness of the Registry to support its growth strategy.
