Mark qualified as a Manx Advocate in 2012 and since has regularly been ranked by Legal 500 as well as Chambers & Partners UK. Mark has regularly appeared at all levels of the Isle of Man High Court of Justice and is a key player behind DQ’s membership in the International Fraud Group, made up of handpicked of specialist fraud lawyers across the world.
Speaking about his appointment, Mark said: ‘I am delighted to head DQ’s new Insolvency & Restructuring team. DQ is already known in the Isle of Man as a market-leader in respect of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring, providing clients with a first-class, bespoke, and cost-effective service tailored to suit individual legal and business requirements.
‘With DQ’s experience in representing clients in various complex and high-profile cases in the Isle of Man High Court, often dealing with difficult questions of personal or corporate insolvency law, it was a natural decision to launch DQ’s own freestanding Insolvency & Restructuring team and I am excited to demonstrate what our new team can achieve for our clients.’
Commenting upon Mark’s appointment, Andrew Harding, Head of Corporate and Commercial, added: ‘Mark has been a brilliant addition to DQ and his expertise in the field of insolvency and restructuring is widely recognised both locally and internationally.’
DQ is a leading law firm in the Isle of Man, and a member of TAG Alliance, one of the largest and most respected multidisciplinary alliances of independent firms covering 110 countries, meaning that it is well-connected where cross-border issues arise.
Further, DQ’s membership in the International Fraud Group means that it is perfectly placed to assist where, as in many cases, there are elements of fraud to a particular piece of insolvency & restructuring work which requires urgent action.
