One Hit Wonders, Pro League Winners

John Sheath, Chairman of the Manx Hockey Association, said: ‘This marks the first time since 2017 that we have organised a Social League due to a number of reasons, so we are very happy that, with Rossborough’s backing, we were able to make it happen. It was a delight to see the social players take away so much enjoyment each week and I’m very pleased with the engagement from the players, from the experienced to complete novices!

‘We would like to say a huge thank you to Rossborough for its continued support of the Manx Hockey Association and enabling us to make the Summer Sixes Leagues so successful. I would also like to say a big thank you to the organisers, players, supporters and umpires for turning up each week and making it such an enjoyable initiative.’

Local insurance broker Rossborough agreed a sponsorship deal with the Manx Hockey Association, which includes the Summer Sixes Hockey Leagues.

Ann Collins, Managing Director of Rossborough Insurance (IOM), said: ‘It’s a pleasure to continue our support of the Manx Hockey Association and help to develop the sport in the Isle of Man. The Rossborough Summer Sixes is a fantastic event which gave both the experienced and not-so experienced players the opportunity to take to the pitch and enjoy a fantastic summer of hockey. We’re pleased it was such a great success and we wish our congratulations to the winners.’
