For more than a decade, management consultancy business Auxesia has backed Albany Lawn Tennis Club’s Mini Tennis and Junior programmes with hundreds of youngsters participating.

The Douglas-based firm’s investment, which concludes this week, has run for 11 years and amounted to £50,000, allowing the club to run various activities for those aged four and over.

In particular, its mini tennis programme acted as a building block and allowed children to develop their tennis skills, improve their coordination and uncover their potential at a young age.

Auxesia’s Director, Stuart Colligon, said: ‘It has been a genuine pleasure to support Albany Lawn Tennis Club which is something of a hidden gem; it’s a first-class facility for tennis enthusiasts of all ages and those who want to get involved in or return to the sport.

‘The club’s programme has been dedicated to inspiring children, providing them with the opportunity to learn and develop, which is intrinsic to what we do at Auxesia.

‘To see the potential fulfilled by so many, including the youngsters who qualified for the national finals of the Road to Wimbledon championship and had the opportunity to play at the iconic All England Club, was a wonderful moment.

‘We wish Albany every success going forward and I’d encourage any local business that is keen to support the Manx community to consider backing the club. It is incredibly rewarding to watch the youngsters develop through the programme and is a very worthy initiative to be involved with. I would highly recommend the club to future sponsors.’

Bryan Sharp, Albany Lawn Tennis Club president, added: ‘Auxesia has been a magnificent supporter of the club for well over a decade and Stuart and the team have also become great friends to us during that time so a sincere thank you.

‘The level of support for our Mini and Junior programmes has been invaluable and seeing children of all ages get involved and really grow to love the sport is fantastic. Thanks to Auxesia, we have been able to inspire even more young people to try tennis and stay active.’

Auxesia has a strong track record when it comes to encouraging talented people to fulfil their potential and the company’s sponsorship in the Isle of Man has extended beyond sport with sponsorships also provided for local schools, arts programmes and performers.

Auxesia is passionate about helping talented individuals reach their potential, in the same way it is passionate about helping business leaders succeed.
