Junior Achievement | Ballakermeen Students Crowned HSBC Student Company Of The Year | May 2022

Let us introduce you to ATLAS - a team of six A-level students studying at Ballakermeen High School who have been crowned ‘HSBC Student Company of the Year’ for their winning business idea.

Date: Friday 13 May 2022

As part of the Junior Achievement Company Programme they have created and manufactured a product that will revolutionise the way you use hand soap. You can see their product here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ciCXC_dx_U

Every year, over 1 billion single-use plastic soap bottles are discarded. In an effort to reduce this number, they have developed and manufactured their own product from scratch called the ‘H2sOap'.

H2sOap is an effervescent soap tablet that, when added to water, creates foaming hand soap. Used with a dispenser, which is provided, there is no longer any need for single-use plastic packaging, revolutionising the way people wash their hands.

The team will now go on to represent the Isle of Man in the European finals of the JA Company Programme to be held in Estonia. We are keen for local businesses to support Atlas by letting the team visit you to give a demonstration of their product.

Please contact Josh Holden, Managing Director of Atlas by sending a message through their website https://atlasiom.co.uk  or contact Sue Cook at Junior Achievement on 666266 to arrange a visit.
