Lloyds Bank 24-Hour Cycling Challenge for Isle Listen | November 2020

This weekend, Saturday 14th November, John Garrood from Lloyds Bank will be taking on a 24-Hour Cycling Challenge in order to raise funds for local charitable initiative Isle Listen.

Date: Friday 13 November 2020

John was looking to take on a cycling challenge in place the Tour de Branch, an annual event organised by Lloyds Bank where John works, that sadly had to be cancelled this year. This is where John’s idea for his 24-Hour Cycling Challenge came from. The event is being supported by Lloyds Bank and Cycle 360, with Cycle 360 supporting John with his nutrition and assisting with the right lights for his bike to ensure he remains safe and seen in the dark.

Starting at 10am in Ramsey, John will be attempting to cover as much distance as possible within 24 hours following a course laid out in the North of the Island; from Ramsey, heading through to Bride, down through Jurby to the Cronk and then back through to Ramsey following the Jurby road. John wants to support the amazing and vital work that Isle Listen provides on Island, through their schools, workplace and community initiatives. Opening up the conversation around mental health and ensuring people feel adequately supported with practical self-management tools.
