Dark Avenue Film is a new company in the media sector specialising in both marketing videos, with clients including The Fynoderee Distillery and DEFA, and film production, with short documentary 'Mera' about local harpist Mera Royle premiering in August 2019 at Festival Interceltique de Lorient and fiction short The Lost Wife shot in October 2019 thanks to support from IoM Arts Council and Culture Vannin. Directors Patrick and Bethany are also successful in screenwriting, with placings in three international competitions and counting. Having trained in fiction, they find the story at the heart of every project and produce cinematic content for each client's purposes.

After graduating from the University of York with a BSc (Hons) in Film and Television production each, Bethany and Patrick decided to set up in the Isle of Man (Patrick grew up here) because of the links they had already made in the Island's film industry. Through the Micro Business Grant Scheme and networking sessions they've come to appreciate the variety of business here and are excited to work with fellow innovators, entrepreneurs and creatives to tell their story to the Island and further afield.
