Post Event Briefing | Shaping the Isle of Man’s New National AI Office | Nov 2025

17 November 2025

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent cross-sector briefing on Government’s plans to create a National AI Office. The session gave members an early look at the emerging model and a chance to influence how the new Office will work with business.

Lyle Wraxall from the Digital Agency shared the initial concept, and members explored what the Office should prioritise — from regulation and skills to industry partnerships and clear guidance for responsible adoption.

Our post-event briefing includes:

  • Why a National AI Office is being created
  • The proposed federated structure
  • Early priorities across governance, innovation, and skills
  • Member questions on regulation, international alignment, and business engagement
  • Key milestones and launch timeline

You can read the full summary in our briefing paper.

The slides from the event can be viewed here.

What happens next

  • 27 November: Stakeholder update
  • Early December: Business case submission
  • 26 January 2026: Official launch of the National AI Office

We welcome continued input from members. If you have views on how AI is shaping your sector or what support you need, please get in touch.
