Capital International Group Completes Acquisition of Affinity’s Investment Arm, APW Investors Limited
20 October 2025
Capital International Group Limited is pleased to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of APW Investors Limited (APWIL), the investment arm of Affinity Private Wealth. This milestone further cements Capital International’s growth strategy in Jersey and follows the 2024 acquisition of Martello Asset Management.
The deal strengthens Capital International’s position as a truly independent investment firm. That independence is central to its identity and enables it to prioritise client interests above all else, and to work with a broad range of client types including professional advisers and trustees.
Rooted in its ethos of Conscious Capital and placing long-term value creation, responsible stewardship, and sustainable investment at the heart of its development strategy Capital International found strong cultural alignment in APWIL. Both firms are signatories of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI), and APWIL’s award-winning sustainable investment track record complements Capital International’s responsible investment philosophy.
“Joining Capital International marks a natural evolution for APWIL,” said Ben Stott, Managing Director at APWIL. “We saw in Capital International a firm whose core values of integrity, innovation and excellence resonated deeply with our own, alongside a long-term commitment to responsible investing. Their client first culture and Conscious Capital ethos ensure our investment philosophy continues without compromise, and with even greater reach. Furthermore, whilst we are sad to say goodbye to Affinity Trust as colleagues, our new independence frees us to work with a variety of different trustee relationships, many of whom already work with Capital International.”
Antony Kelsey, Head of Asset Management at Capital International and Managing Director of Capital International (Jersey) Limited, added: “This acquisition is about purpose-led growth. It unites two teams that share a commitment to independence, sustainable value creation and pragmatic execution. In Jersey, it significantly strengthens our local leadership presence, while ensuring our clients benefit from both boutique service and access to global capabilities.”
With over 250 professionals across Jersey, the Isle of Man, and South Africa Capital International now combines the resources of an international firm with the accessibility and personal touch of a boutique. Clients benefit from:
- Tailored and highly responsive service
- Deep understanding of local market dynamics
- Direct access to global investment expertise
The integration of APWIL expands Capital International’s Jersey presence with a dedicated local team, further enhancing its ability to deliver agile, client-focused solutions backed by the scale and stability of a 29-year-old international business. Total assets overseen by the combined asset management business units in the Isle of Man and Jersey now grows to approximately £1.5bn.
In keeping with its long-standing values, Capital International continues to invest in the communities it serves. In Jersey, this includes partnerships with Durrell and support for local sponsorships and charitable programmes; a commitment it plans to expand as its presence grows.
The integration process is well underway, with both teams working hand-in-hand to ensure a seamless integration for clients and staff. Stakeholders can be assured of continuity, professionalism, and the same high standards of service that both APWIL and Capital International are known for.
