Manx Telecom Launches Future Ready Team to Support Island Communities through Copper Switch-Off
ISLE OF MAN, 3 APRIL 2025 – Manx Telecom has announced the launch of a Future Ready Team, a dedicated group committed to supporting communities across the Isle of Man through the Copper Network Switch-Off. Recognising that change can be daunting, this specialised team has been established to ensure the transition is as smooth and supportive as possible for everyone on the Island.
The switch to full-fibre isn’t just for those who rely on WiFi—even residents who don’t currently use WiFi services will need to move their voice services to fibre equivalents. The Future Ready Team is here to guide everyone through this change, offering personalised advice and hands-on support.
Gary Lamb, CEO of Manx Telecom, said: “We know that change can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we want to make this transition as easy as possible for everyone. Our dedicated Future Ready Team is here to offer guidance and reassurance, ensuring that all residents can smoothly move to fibre and enjoy its benefits.”
The Future Ready Team will be available for drop-in sessions in the first areas set to transition from copper, including Foxdale, Kirk Michael, St John’s. Over the coming months, residents in these zones can meet the team, ask questions, and receive tailored assistance as their areas prepare for the copper switch-off.
