Victim Support | Dress In Yellow (& Sparkle) Day 2024

14 December 2023

This year, however, there is a little twist as it is Victim Support Isle of Man’s 25th Anniversary.  The theme for this year is “Dress in Yellow & Sparkle” to reflect their Silver Anniversary!

“We want to encourage everyone to dress in yellow & sparkle, to help spread awareness and fundraise to support the victims of Sexual Abuse and Violence.  Around a quarter of our client referrals are from victims of sexual abuse and violence and we want to take the opportunity to highlight this throughout the awareness week” says the charity’s CEO Lorna Trevethan.

She continues, “We have added in the sparkle for this year to reflect our Silver Anniversary as part of a series of awareness and fundraising events will be holding throughout 2024 to celebrate the past 25 years and to help ensure that we are here for another 25 years supporting victims and witnesses of crime.”

Victim Support Isle of Man would like as many businesses and residents as possible to get involved; this could be from wearing yellow socks to sparkly dresses and suits - the brighter and more sparkly the better, as well as, for example, holding yellow and sparkle themed cake sales, raffles, guess the number of sweets in a jar!

Be sure to post all the colourful pictures on social media, tagging VictimSupportIOM and using the hashtag #itsnotok.
