Climate Change - the Impact on Mann,  an insightful talk by Adrian Cowin.

Adrian Cowan was IOM Government’s Senior Meteorological Officer for over ten years until his recent retirement.

Adrian studied at Preston Polytechnic and attained a HND in Applied Physics. I joined the Meteorological Office at Ronaldsway Airport in 1983, then qualified as a Forecaster in 1985 after completing two specialist courses at the UK Met Office College at Shinfield Park, Reading. He became a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society and was promoted to Senior Meteorological Officer in 2012 but still spent a fair deal of my time on operational duty covering public, shipping and aviation forecasting. Having developed a keen interest in climate change and impacts, especially on our weather and infrastructure.

This talk presents the facts on weather patterns and the outcomes the island faces over the coming years.

Due to the generosity of our sponsor Conister, this event is free to attend and includes a light breakfast.
