Join us for a day of environmental action, camaraderie and ESG! The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce our partnership with Manx Wildlife Trust, our Charity of Choice for 2023-2025. 

As part of this exciting collaboration, we're offering SME members the opportunity to participate in a Wild Work Day at the stunning MWT Creg y Cowin Nature Reserve. This partnership offers SMEs the opportunity to engage with ESG activity, as the workday promotes environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and employee engagement, while prioritising safety and good governance practices.

Event Details:

  • Date: Tuesday, March 26, 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Location: Creg y Cowin Nature Reserve
  • What to Expect: Get involved in our new temperate rainforest project, led by Manx Wildlife Trust, aiming to plant approximately 28,000 trees over five years.
Parking: Parking at the reserve is limited, so we encourage car sharing to minimize environmental impact. Please park considerately in the designated area provided by a local farmer.

Planting Location: A picturesque 10-minute walk from the parking area, across a charming stream. Maps and coordinates provided for your convenience.

What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Gardening gloves are essential, and all tools will be provided. Don't forget plenty of water and a packed lunch if staying for the full day.

Facilities: As this is a remote site, please be prepared for nature's call with a composting toilet available on-site.

Safety First: Your well-being is paramount. Familiarize yourself with the provided Risk Assessment, and report any incidents to the on-site Project Officer.
