Ireland-Isle of Man, strengthening the Celtic Partnership | Chamber delegation trip to London | October 2023

14 December 2023

Last week, Chamber members joined the Chief Minister at a special reception themed "Ireland-Isle of Man, Strengthening the Celtic Partnership,".

During the visit the Chief Minister recognised the active trade and business between the Isle of Man and Dublin, emphasising the rich shared history and proximity as close neighbours.

In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the intent to enhance the connections between the two regions, fostering closer economic and cultural ties. He pointed out Dublin's position as a European capital city that lies just a short distance from the Isle of Man.

Both governments viewed this reception as a golden chance to rekindle historical connections and exploit mutual strengths in the wake of a post-COVID era.

It was also an excellent opportunity for Chamber members to network, not only with Dublin's business community but also with colleagues from the Isle of Man.

With thanks to DLA Piper for hosting the reception.
