NHS Levy Consultation - member views sought

Treasury is consulting on a proposed NHS Health Levy, but we feel the consultation paper lacks the detail members need to give meaningful feedback.

We have published a short overview summarising our initial thoughts. A fuller position paper will follow – shaped by your input.

We have identified key questions we believe Government must answer, including:

What will it cost a typical household?
What is the long-term impact on the economy?
Could efficiencies or economic growth reduce the need for a new tax?

We will be publishing a fuller position paper soon – but in the meantime, we are encouraging all members to read the summary and complete our quick feedback survey to help shape Chamber’s response.
