Sight Matters Presents "Dining in the Dark" Sponsored by Simcocks

Picture this – you, blindfolded, relying solely on taste, smell, touch and sound to experience a delicious meal.
Sight Matters, in partnership with Simcocks, is proud to present Dining in the Dark, an unparalleled sensory experience, designed to raise both awareness and funds for the blind and visually impaired community. The event promises an unforgettable evening of culinary exploration.
Taking place on Saturday, 20th, April at Corrin Court, Onchan, Dining in the Dark offers guests the opportunity to indulge in a sumptuous four-course meal, all while blindfolded. By relying solely senses other than sight, attendees will gain insight into the challenges faced by individuals living with visual impairments – as well as gain a unique experience of dining in the dark.
The evening begins with doors opening at 7PM, after which guests will put on their blindfolds before tucking into their meal. Each course of the meal has been carefully crafted to surprise and delight the palate, with three menu options available: meat, fish, or vegetarian. Throughout the evening, guests will be encouraged to engage their senses fully, identifying each dish based on its unique flavours, textures, and aromas.
In addition to the immersive dining experience, Dining in the Dark will feature a blind raffle and auction, providing guests with the chance to support Sight Matters' initiatives and win exciting prizes described by an expert MC.
