Charity Member Spotlight: Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Support Isle of Man has been providing bereavement support for children, young people and adults since 1988. The charity helps people at one of the most painful times in their lives. They support all deaths, whether expected or unexpected. The charity is busier than ever.
With Hospice Isle of Man stopping all bereavement support for children, young people and adults – Cruse continues to be that difference for those grieving.
To help support this growing demand they are looking to appoint a paid part-time bereavement specialist to deliver adult support on one-to-one basis and group work at their offices or in various external venues. They also support people at Isle of Man Prison. This person will work alongside the adult bereavement volunteers. In addition, as a result of a Manx Lottery Trust grant as a delegated partner of the National Lottery Community Fund, the Children and Young People’s Bereavement team delivered a toolkit and numerous bereavement resources to every primary and secondary school on the Island during the last month.
