The future of the Island’s economy was the focus of a Chamber of Commerce event held this week at the iMuseum

Isle of Man and Liverpool Chambers of Commerce took part in an event at The Comis Hotel to celebrate the success of north west region business collaboration.

On Tuesday 10 June, Chamber members were joined by the Minister for Home Affairs and Deputy Chief Minister, Jane Poole-Wilson for a wide-ranging briefing covering the Isle of Man's Securing Our Island strategy, preparations for the upcoming Moneyval on-site assessment, and a number of significant legislative developments across Home Affairs.

On Thursday 21 May, members were joined by the Customs and Immigration Division & the Department for Enterprise to host a workshop on the Island's recently announced Worker Migrant Visa reforms. The session, held at Launchpad, brought together businesses and employers to hear directly from officers and ask questions about what the changes mean in practice.

The Isle of Man Government has announced a new reciprocal National Insurance agreement with the United Kingdom, due to come into effect from April 2027, subject to approval by Tynwald and ratification by the UK.
