Wellbeing is no longer a nice to have but an essential part of every organisation’s good governance. The Scheme is designed for the needs of the Isle of Man and businesses located here. We have spoken to the DHSC and will include the work on the mental health strategy, when published. The Chamber are supportive of this scheme.
Our MD, Juan Moore has been involved with wellbeing and mental health in the workplace for many years, having established various wellbeing committees and spoken at events including the IOM Wellbeing Conference and the Junior Commonwealth Lawyers Association annual conference amongst others. Juan has also established a support group for people with mental health difficulties ManxPACT.
Juan is currently Chair of the Chamber’s Positive Health and Wellbeing Forum. It was clear from the responses received at the Forum’s recent conference that such a scheme was essential to assist Isle of Man organisations to move forward with workplace wellbeing.
