Simcock Strengthens Team

Douglas based law practice, Simcocks Advocates, is pleased to announce the appointment of Advocate Kate Clague to their Private Client team, and Oksana Mahdavi as Head of Compliance.
Kate studied law in Manchester, returned to the Island to complete her articles and was called to the Manx Bar in March 2013.

She looks forward to refocusing on wills, probate and powers of attorney, as she works alongside CEO Phil Games, providing clients with top tier estate management services.
Prior to studying Law, Kate obtained a BA Honours Degree in Music from Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2007.
Kate commented on her appointment: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to focus on private client work at Simcocks and particularly to building on my experience in wills, probate and powers of attorney, and to working alongside and learning from Phil Games and the wider team, drawing upon their wealth of knowledge and experience. I am very excited to be part of the team and to provide clients with the same friendly, practical and personal approach that has been so important to me throughout my career.”
Head of Compliance, Oksana Mahdavi, brings extensive senior experience across financial services, eGaming, trust and corporate services in the Isle of Man and the UK.
With expertise spanning regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, financial crime prevention, governance, risk management and regulatory engagement, Oksana has worked extensively with Boards, senior leadership teams, regulators and professional advisers across complex and highly regulated environments.
In her role with Simcocks, Oksana will oversee regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, financial crime prevention, data protection and risk management.
