Style Meets Strategy: Vera Rae Brings a Fresh Approach to Personal Styling in the Isle of Man

Five months on from opening, Vera Rae is quietly building a reputation in the Isle of Man for its thoughtful, confidence-led approach to personal style.

Founded by Isle of Man-based personal stylist Rebecca Hills and operating from a private studio in Ballasalla, Vera Rae supports professional women to align their personal image with their confidence, careers, and evolving lifestyles. Offering services including colour analysis, style analysis, and more in-depth wardrobe strategy, the business blends practical expertise with a more holistic perspective on how we show up.

Rebecca brings a strong background in marketing communications, having spent several years helping organisations communicate with clarity and impact. She holds a degree in Fashion Communication from Nottingham Trent University and is CPD accredited in both colour and style analysis - combining formal fashion training with commercial communications expertise.

Having worked closely with senior leaders and professionals throughout her career, Rebecca identified a growing need for support beyond corporate brand, specifically in how individuals present themselves.

“Throughout my career in communications, I’ve seen how clarity and confidence in presentation can influence not just perception, but how people feel and perform,” she says. “Many accomplished women invest in their careers but still feel uncertain about their personal style. Vera Rae was created to bridge that gap - helping women feel aligned, confident, and entirely themselves in how they show up.”

Positioning personal styling as a strategic investment rather than a luxury, Vera Rae supports women navigating career progression, leadership visibility, return-to-work transitions, entrepreneurship, and life-stage changes such as motherhood or menopause.

“One of the most common things I hear is, ‘I have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear,’” Rebecca explains. “For busy women, that daily friction can quietly impact confidence. Often it’s not about needing more, it's about having a wardrobe that truly reflects who you are now and supports where you’re going.”

Services range from foundational sessions through to more comprehensive wardrobe transformation programmes, with bespoke plans and flexible options designed to make professional styling feel accessible and relevant.

“We talk a lot about personal brand and presence,” Rebecca adds. “What you wear is a tangible part of that. When your wardrobe supports you, it removes decision fatigue and allows you to focus on what matters. My aim is to help clients build wardrobes that work as hard as they do.”

Vera Rae is currently welcoming clients from across the Isle of Man, with appointments available from its private Ballasalla studio.
