Working Together to Prevent Suicide Across the Isle of Man

A number of organisations across the Isle of Man are coming together this weekto raise awareness of suicide prevention and highlight the support, information and help available to people across the Island.
The Manx Family Centre Association (MFCA) is working alongside Public Health Isle of Man, Manx Care and a number of local charities and organisations as partof a programme of activity focused on suicide prevention and ensuring peopleknow that they are not alone.
As part of the week, representatives from several of the organisations involved will be available on Strand Street on Thursday, providing an opportunity for members of the public to talk to them, find out more about the support available and accessinformation and resources.
The organisations involved include Public Health Isle of Man, Isle Stand Up toSuicide, Manx Care, MFCA, Cruse Bereavement Support Isle of Man, The Children’s Centre, Isle Listen, Motiv8 Addiction Services, Ed Space, Victim Support Isleof Man and Samaritans Isle of Man.
The message behind the campaign is simple: support, information and help are available across the Island.
MFCA will also continue to make information and leaflets available throughout the year, providing a safe place for people to take time out when needed.
The initiative highlights the importance of working together across charities, public services and community organisations to ensure people know where they can turnfor help, whether they are struggling themselves or concerned about someone else.
Anyone who needs support is encouraged to reach out. There are organisationsacross the Isle of Man ready to listen, provide information and offer support.
