Business Advisory Service
Being in business can be lonely, sometimes its hard to know if you’re making the right decisions or moving in the right direction. Should you expand ? Should you diversify ? Is it time to scale back? If this resonates, maybe its time you considered tapping into the DfE ran Business Advisory Service?

The Business Advisory Service offers you an initial 2-hour consultation with a highly experienced business mentor who will discuss and analyse your business model, listen to your ideas, concerns, barriers etc and then make suggestions and offer advice. Your mentor can also highlight financial schemes that you might not have considered or even known about. You will then receive a comprehensive report which summarises your recommendations and action plan. Your business mentor will then follow up with you in the coming months.

Our Business Support Lead Jessica’s husband utilised the service for his own business, Auto Sparks Ltd, here’s what he said

“Being in business can be overwhelming, I’m often so busy with the day to day running of my company, its hard to find the hard space to strategize or make future plans. Sitting down with Sandra was so helpful, she took the time to understand the background and model of my business., she made me consider who my customer was and what they were looking for, at the end of session I had access to financial assistance schemes I hadn’t previously considered, along with a clear, concise plan of how I needed to move my business forward”

N.b. (The Business Advisory Service is a standalone discipline under the Business Improvement Scheme and therefore applications are welcomed under this discipline regardless of whether or not there is another project underway. The rules regarding applications under this discipline are slightly different in that the business does not have to fall under the usual rules of having an additional employee if they have been operating for more than 18 months)
